Where my duck pen is there is very little wind, mostly. I am surrounded with huge tall pine trees, and it really keeps the wind in my yard down a lot!! I'll have to think on that one a few, I guess you could put a big flat rock on top, maybe.........
I have a pair........that's why I am thinking I need another female. I really should have just gotten females, but......
I guess that means your ducky did not come home? AAAAWWWWWWWWWW, and I have been calling her like crazy!!!!!!!! I hope she just comes waddling up to your door!!!!!!

There is a fish farm near here, run by an extension of the u of Fla. They grow all kinds of weird stuff. DH and his fishing buddy found it one day. Weirdo thing, you can only get to it by one road.....it is on the outskirts of our county, but you have to go into another county to get to the road. Just strange.....That's Florida for ya!!!!
They don't sell anything yet, I can't remember why.....but they do have sturgeon there, and I guess at some point they are going to sell caviar.......................I told ya......strange!!
I have seen a few of the sturgeon here- they get HUGE, and UUUUUUUUgly!! We were in our friend's little tiny boat in a small river not far from us and this big hump came up out of the water, right next to us...........scared me to death, but the thing had to be easily as long as the boat. never saw any more of them than their back and dorsal fin. I swear that thing was a whale.....but DH said no, just a sturgeon.

There is LOTS of scary stuff in the water here, and you cannot see any of it..................all swamp water, dark black......just scary!!!!!!!!!!!!!
