Well, my favorite animals are definitely birds.

I am starting to come to the conclusion that:

1. I am in a LATER time zone

2. The rest of you'll like sleeping

3. I have multiple, many, at least one mouse or vole or shrew, in my pantry

So....just to keep you all informed

Even though the nice Sunday shirt that had frozen to the bottom of the dog house, thawed enough to be removed last week! (Great rejoicing), the ski pole is still solidly glued to the ground.

We have been SUPER toasty, I think yesterday hit 57 F! so, I am thinking one more day, and I will be able to pick up the ski pole!

Yes, those seven days where we must quickly pick up all trash....before the weeds shoot up to three feet tall and hide it.

The pantry rodent is continuing to make noise!

BAD, BAD RODENT! It is now warm, go back outside I say!!

(Of course, if the kids didn't leave a perpetual trail of crumbs......it might be easier to get rid of the rodents)

This Alaskan has decided that staying up all night is perhaps bad.

You are Fun-ny!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It always amazes me how different life is for all of us- Even though we may all go through very similar situations in life- our daily circumstances are much different depending upon WHERE we reside! This is what I love about the ability to connect with others via the internet- It has a tendency to make us very thankful for little things..........such as DEGREES!!!!!!

OH, and get a cat or 2, no more pantry rodents

I think TONY and SIL have a few extras.....

Just one or 2 makes a huge difference!!!

It came out pretty good for a couple of GURLS building it, eh? I am very pleased!!! Now if I could just get the renovation crew to step up his time line, get the pvc parts and get the tub in, with the drain........Well, then, I would be even more eggcited!!!!!

just for GP, I am going to report that this thing cost me next to nothing to build (thanks to my DS who bought the hardware cloth) Our friend Michael had all the wood already, and gave it to me for the project......along with most of what I will need for the chicken coops as well (lumber wise). The other wire that is on the top is re-purposed that I retrieved from fixing broken down fencing from the sanctuary......that roll has been hanging around for about 3 years now, just waiting.......
And, as most of you know, the pond was my Mama's koi pond which I have saved since her passing for future use. ***For those of you who haven't read it yet......please read my story of how and why I got chickens, link is in my siggy- then you will understand why I mention my Mom in everything I do CHICKEN & DUCK*** There MUST be a little of her in each project, of course!!!
All I had to buy was deck screws, staples, and a little pvc (not purchased yet)

Alaskan, whoops, I missed all ya'll last night.
Stepped off line to go online and research those thermals you recommended. Somewhere between here and how to pack for Alaska etc. I just fell asleep.
I gotta go back and read the posts to catch up.

I just had to call it a day, and actually going to let myself off "work" for the evening. DH, dog, garden and chickies on auto pilot. Just drew a bath.

huh, sure you know my mind was on a cooler locale today when I was outside in the broiling sun, weeding the corn rows.....
