I'm dreading this whole upcoming Easter business ugh everyone fights over who's hosting and I don't even wanna participate cause frankly I don't want my kids believing in some zombie

Lol for me (I'm a kid) Easter is just about sweet treats and the egg hunt, not about the Christian holiday. But it's definitely uncomfortable when we go over to my cousins' for Easter because they're conservative Christians and we have to pray/go to church with them and they're not allowed to have candy

I don't mind being around people who believe in the Christian God, or if friends want to ask a blessing before a meal. Those are their traditions, and that's fine.

I do have a problem with people passing judgement on others. (Who gave you that right???) Or insisting that their particular belief is "the one, true way."

Agreed be respectful of me and mine and I'll be respectful of you and yours. My mil is obnoxious she's the most hypocritical person ever yet is a "devout catholic"

It sounds like her and my mom would get along great! My sister actually just called me upset this morning because my mom was going around telling people to pray for my sister not to go to hell….why you ask?…because my sister goes out line dancing and apparently that is somehow a sin.

I wish I could just pop in for a visit and have a very frank conversation with her.
