Chat Thread for the New Crazy 24 hour Auction

Would anyone bid if I listed 5+ bantam cochin eggs? Half the hens in the pen are frizzled. Please comment!

Trish, I'm super excited about the Silkied Ameraucana eggs I got from you. I received 15--1 I gave to Bertha The Broody and I set the other 14. On day 14, I pulled 2 clear/early quitters. At lockdown, I had one questionable egg, but I left it in with the others (a total of 12 now). I had my first pip yesterday morning and the first one broke out around 4 pm. As of right now, I have 10 out, happy and healthy. The one questionable one, plus one other is still in the incubator. Keeping my fingers crossed for one more! :fl

Plus, Bertha is now a mommy for the first time. So, I'm at 11 of 15 shipped eggs, with a possibility of maybe one more....pretty good for shipped eggs!

The ones inside are 50/50 Lavs and blacks (not sure what Bertha's chick is...she's a big ol fluffy Eng Orp...and cranky!)

Thanks so much. You've got a very pleased customer here! :weee

11 out of 15 eggs shipped from NY to TN hatched....not bad, especially considering I'm a novice hatcher. This was only my 3rd batch AND I had a problem with temp going into lockdown (it got down to 93 for a couple hours). Trish has done an excellent job with these birds/eggs! :yesss:

You can chalk it up to no incubator space since yours are always so full LOL. Mine are usually full also but have yet to double stack like you do lol. Never have been creative enough to figure it out so just bought a 4th incubator instead :/

Actually I have a lot of incubator space right now. I should be hatching my own eggs, but I have no viable eggs due to the flooding and mud. This whole weather thing has really set me back.
