Oh gosh yes!!!! That's one reason people are so crazy about them. They are incredibly affectionate, and they have personalities that just don't quit.

Even the ones I don't handle until they're grown are completely tame in just a few minutes of holding and petting them.

I had a pair I rescued like seven years ago. They were buck wild, and crazy. Within a few days of treats they were tame. I just didn't have time to devote.

that is awesome.. so are their yolks much bigger then the whites? i have a friend thats all she eats is quail eggs, she has been saying how much she would love chickens, and those eggs would be perfect for her she loves the quail egg size..are they pretty dependable layers?

The yolks take up about a third of the egg, same as a big chicken egg. But no, they are not dependable layers. They take a lot of breaks and go broody a lot.
