Ladycat, your eggs/auctions are so exciting. As soon as I hatch out my incubator and get 20 posts, I'm in! Its so cold and I live in NJ, any problems with shipping this time of year?

I am about to order an incubator then I can start getting eggs. What breed are you hatching?

I'm amazed! From now on instead of boiling the muddy eggs and feeding them back to the chickens, I'll just have a muddy egg auction!

That's a huge help with the feed bill, and puts me a step closer to getting a cabinet incubator.

I set my own muddy eggs. I just let the mud dry and use a soft bristled egg brush to brush off any extra mud. I won't set ones that are covered in poo, but mud doesn't bother me. I've never had an issue with them. If you set duck eggs, they are almost always muddy.
