Chcick hatching 4-5 days early?

Hi! We put 8 incubated bantam eggs under a broody on 6/14. Firgured they’d hatch Tuesday or Wednesday. Checked last night and she had one chick, already fluffy and seemingly healthy. It has been hot here in NC, 90’s every day. Could that cause eggs to hatch early? Or is this one a “preemie”?

Yes..But don't worry they should be fine.

Yes heat can cause them to hatch early, or she could have been sitting on them earlier than you thought. Either way it should be just fine.

We got them from someone that day. There’s no rooster in that yard, so nothing she sat on there before was fertilized. Good to know they’ll be okay
