Cheap and easy nest box design

I just published a blog post describing in detail how I built this inexpensive 6 bay nest box out of scrap wood. So far it is working out great, but I am interested in comments on the design from the knowledgeable people here.

The blog looks very detailed and helpfull. The nest boxes look very good, just make sure that you put them in a secluded location in the coop. Hens are more likely to lay in them if they are somewhere dark. I put little curtains in front of my nest boxes, so the hens feel they have more privacy. Another thing you can do is make the nest boxes face south, never east or west because too much light enters the nest boxes.

The boxes have been working out really well. At first I was worried that 1' cube wouldn't be enough space for them, but yesterday I watched 4 of them trying to use the same box at the same time, hilarious.
