Cheap Cat litter instead of play sand on the hen house floor?

When clay litter becomes wet it turns into a sticky icky mess, clumping our not.

I would not miss this point!!! If you will haveANY chance that the floor will get wet - or even damp - kitty litter will become a slick,nasty, heavy layer of wet clay. I have experienced this first hand on another project...
