Cheap dog house coop - AND built a pen with no carpentry skills! PICS

We're planning to keep 6 bantam Ameraucanas in it once I expand the run. It's a pretty big doghouse.

Oh cool, how big is the house?

It's 37" wide, and probably 42" long (haven't measured recently). I think its previous occupant was a labrador. It could probably hold 3 standards comfortably too.

You did an awesome job!! I like the idea also. I am thinking about something like this for my mean cochin rooster that my DH won't let me get rid of, but I have a question...

In these dog house coops, where do you put the food and water? I can't imagine leaving the food outside due to the weather... and the footprint inside the coops seem small..

Well, the coop's 3' x 3', so it's fairly decent in size. I just mount this rabbit feeder (http://www.jefferslivestock.com/ssc...=2GK8W62JDMDP8PCVEVNE28RX52NFDTH9&pf_id=16012) on the wall inside the house. The waterer hangs from the pen roof outside the house.

I bought a dog house just like yours off CL's with the same idea in mind....then I went overboard buying chicks (20).

You did a great job with yours. Looks real cute too!

(I was thinking of selling my dog house until I read triggfamily5's post...I may end up with a mean roo that I can't get rid of
and this really is a great little coop!)
