BEWARE OF FOAM PACKAGING, INC
Forget buying from Foam Packaging, Inc. The prices they post are false and they would rather not even sell to us. I called them and they said the price on the web was wrong, the actual prices was substantially higher and their minimum shipping charge was now $60.00,
False advertising,
I would not buy from them now even if they corrected their fraudulent practices.

I would also look at the following companies so you get a wider selection and price difference. Many of these have free shipping.

Zellwin - I have purchased them and they are not bad cartons but the price seems to be less than others. A couple of the other companies have maybe a little better paper quality. You can ask them to send you samples.

For those into shipping hatching eggs....

I just happened onto this web site that has pre-made egg shipping foam cartons. They look like a pretty good deal.
Does anyone know anything about this company?

Zellwin prices=

$.31 for the generic 1dz carton at the 300 quantity

$.30 same; 500 quantity

Thanks...I figured someone who was interested would go figure out the prices for them selves. I used to have all of them but just have not kept up on price changes. Good thing with them is that they ship for free.

I am not overly impressed with the quality of zellwins but they are good for the most part. I usually order 1000 at a time which cuts cost down more. The more you buy the cheaper they get. I cannot for the life of me get my customers to realize that cartons cost more than they think. I do not mind returned cartons but tell them that if they have egg dribble in them or broken egg shells I cannot use them so don't give them back.

OH WELL...

Right. I always pass the cost of cartons along. Some state egg laws require the use of new cartons each time. I don't mind transferring eggs to their used cartons, but I don't pass someone else's used cartons to someone new. I don't know where those cartons have been and I'm not willing to take the miniscule risk of my eggs getting contaminated with who knows what. Call me crazy, but it's peace of mind for me.....

I wonder in the states that do want new ones if you offer to "recycle" the cartons back to the same person for a quarter less a dozen if they would have a problem with John Doe getting a carton with his name on it every week and in essence trade a full carton for the old one that he will get back next week....

I found out recently that in the state of Tennessee, where I live, anyone with fewer than 3,000 laying hens can sell their eggs anywhere they want without any state inspection, license, etc. You just have to make sure your eggs are clean, and label the package with your name and contact information. I thought, How cool is that!
