I think a more important question is do you have the knowledge to mix your own feed?
There is much more to a feed mix than adding product A with product B and coming up with a complete feed that fill your poultry's nutritional needs.
The simplest way you be to use a poultry concentrate that contains all the vitamins, minerals, amino acids etc. that your birds need to survive and produce.
A concentrate allows you to add some of your grains to the mix.
Example--
MIXING DIRECTION UTILIZING BUCKEYE 40% POULTRY CONCENTRATE*
18% Layer
Corn 1200 lbs
40% protein concentrate 700 lbs
Oyster Shells 50 lbs
Calcium Carbonate 50 lbs
