May I ask why you chose to get chickens without having a coop first?

Well that's a question I keep getting asked. Thought I would have more time to build coop before they needed it. Couldn't have put them out in it until a few weeks ago. But I had to help rebuild the tranny on my car, lots of trips to my parents who are an hour away, then crappy weather and and and. Just a poor choice on my part.
