My ever-patient husband spent several hours this weekend and last making me a fabulous little chicken tractor for my girlz!! I'm totally loving it! I haven't rigged up the waterer or attached the curtains to the nesting boxes yet, but I'll get to it next weekend when it's supposed to be 80 degrees outside, not in the low 40s as it is today. Brrrr. OH, and the handles need re-working b/c when I lift it up, I have to lift it higher than is necessary to move it and some of them managed to escape!

I love it ..Are you planning to cover part for weather prortection?? Also I dont see any roosts... It is very cute though

OK I see .. I thought this was their new permanenet home.. Since it is just for foraging I wouldnt think you would need roosts ... That is a very cool lil tractor .. I love it .. And yes i like the ides of covering some when it rains...

Looks great! I agree with the other commenter, though, about adding a bit of shelter in the event of rain. The tractor I built last year had no such shelter, and one day my flock got caught in a downpour before I could run out and herd them into their permanent, sheltered run. It's a hassle I'm hoping to avoid with the new tractor I'm building right now that will be partially roofed.
