I have never done it either and would but my camera is broken :0( My birthday is in 12 days, however, so I am throwing BIG hints so my hubby that I REALLY NEED a new one, lol. Try it, what is the worse that can happen...they dont chose one of your pics...? Big deal, no loss...just try again next year :0) Good luck and I will definately be looking for your pics. I was bidding on some eggs on ebay and I just won last night! they should be here sometime next week cant wait they are khaki campbell duck eggs 6 of them. My bator should come tomarrow or the next day, I dont know. But good luck with the chicks. They are adorable!
