Yeah, when I first saw it and thought it was a worm, I thought,"The gals are gonna have a feast with this!". But when I realized it was a snake, I just couldn't do it...given how rare they are. I have handled snakes since I was around 9, and have caught just about every snake there is in Florida. This is the first one I've seen alive. Way cool! The pic of him on the grass is just before he dug away.

That one is actually quite large. And the ones I've seen around here are more brown like an earthworm color and smaller, closer to a large earthworm size.

I wouldn't have really fed it to my girls. *grin* It's entirely too interesting and it looks so harmless.

Oh my gosh! When I seen this I had to go and dig up my old pictures I took of a HUGE worm...I thought maybe mine was a snake too but after looking again..NOPE..its just a BIG OLE worm....Here they are.. these pictures dont even do it justice...it was about as long as that snake.

There are some huge earth worms out in the woods here...that looks so much like a worm! I bet they look like that to attract other worms in which they eat...wait, they're blind....
