That is crazy clean! If I let my 56 chickens in there it would be all pooped up and dusty in oh about 2 seconds. That's a really nice Palace... I mean coop! I don't think mine could would or should look like that! My coop is made for my chickens needs not by how pretty it is... I like it and so do my chickens! Nice coop though.

MAN! I think my house is messier than that!!! I know we get a lot of people that request us to build them chicken mansions, then you tell them a price and they scatter. I love the idea of this coop but the ones we build are pleasing to our hens not to mention functional and easier on the pocket book.

Ok i think i am going to have to keep this picture away from my chickens. They already think the run my place going where they please, destroying outside decorations they dont like, having there coop cleaned out once a week and getting a larger coop, thats being build atm. If they where to see this boy would i have some troubles. I think the 2 eggs a day would turn to zero eggs a day considering i have 9 hens that are supposed to be laying but think they are getting a free ride.

I have pictures of my coops that look that clean. They were taken about 5 minutes after the chickens moved in. I'm guessing that's the story with this coop, too.

I wouldn't want to have to vacuum and dust that upholstered chair or that chandelier. Maybe she doesn't mind spending the extra time cleaning. I wonder if that coop is going to get a remodel later?

I'm more a fan of decorative architectural details, hardware and paint that don't require a lot of extra cleaning.

You're right. Here's the article with more info: http://www.thefancyfarmgirl.com/heres-the-coop/

How long before the sitting area is covered with feather dust? Geez, it's hard enough keeping my house dusted. I wouldn't want to have to add chicken coop dusting to my list of things to do.

In a way I think articles like this are quite unfortunate. Potentially, people see this picture and get a mistaken impression about what it's like to keep chickens. Then they go get the chickens, reality hits, and some of them will be disillusioned enough to dump their chickens irresponsibly, just like some people do with other pets chosen without proper awareness of what's really involved.

p.s. I have now followed the link, and I see this blogger does warn others about the daily cleaning involved. Good for her!
