It's funny you say that. I have a Fun Facts book and there was a Black Minorca Chicken in England that laid the worlds largest chicken egg - 12 1/2 inches long.

Poor thing!!

OMG! - That poor chicken! Well, laying eggs oughta be easier from now on...they'll probably come shootin' outta there!

I think I'd be building that hen her own special nesting box! You know, one with a fan, radio, Sitz bath, etc...

Well

That was the only egg that size. My DH got it for dinner one night (sometimes we do that).
I hope tht is the only time, I get an egg that size or I will have to get the girls a donut to sit on.
