They look plenty ready to go outside.Hey Hey! Been super busy working but I am trying my hand at Silkies this year. They are almost ready to go out to the big coop with the big girls ( separated of course) Can’t wait to see if any of them are roosters! Thanks for checking in!
Too many things to list. We run a small farm share program so we grow enough food varieties to provide families with 7 different garden items each week. What do you grow?
Welcome back! What a lovely coop and flock you have! They look so friendly! Thanks for checking in! We have learned a ton since 2020 when we got our first chicks! We started with a handful of bantams and expanded our flock in 2022 once we had the hang of it. We added a black Australorp, 3 blue Australorps, 3 Black Stars, and 3 Barred Rocks. We used windows and doors from the attic of my grandmother's historic house to build a bigger coop that now houses 10 full-sized chickens and 2 bantams. We homeschool, so it has given us so many opportunities to grow and learn together!!! We built a raised bed garden the same spring that we built the coop and have been learning about composting too! This spring, we have no building projects, but are learning innovative ways to keep the chickens out of the garden.![]()

What state are you in?
Kuddos to your momma for helping you!Hello! I am currently not home with my flock my gracious mother is taking care of them. Sad new one of my ducks got eaten by an eagle but my mom was able to get 3 more duck from someone up the road. Can't wait to meet them! Here I helped a couple chicks hatch from the incubator. One I was really concerned about because it's head stayed bent like it was in the egg but he got over that and is doing great. The other one had his feet curled and I saw someone on here said to put a masking tape sandwich on his feet for a few days which helped a lot so he is also doing much better and is happily running around with the 30 other babies from the incubator!View attachment 3813067View attachment 3813068
