Checking-In On Peeps - Post Here To Say Hello!

What a great idea! I know there's been some people over the years I had been missing.
Things are OK here chicken wise. I'm down to 6 chickens. We lost Toothless last fall to sour crop that was caught too late, Clover to a coyote/ wolf attack, and Loki to natural causes.
Kids are grown - oldest is heading into her Sr year of college for a history degree and youngest will start her sophomore year in the fall. She wants to be a veterinarian.
Finally at the point that I'm seriously looking for a house.
Nothing really interesting going on otherwise. Spend most of my time working and the rest trying to figure out what to cook for dinner and cleaning.
Can't wait to see how everyone else is doing!
Adding pics of my birds and grandcat Kirk.

We have such a vibrant community here at BYC... tons of active friendly members. Of course, life gets busy, so I was thinking it would be fun to start a thread welcoming some of our peeps we haven't heard from in a while.

If that's you, come say hello and let us know what you've been up to. :)

(if that's not you, feel free to invite peeps you haven't seen in a while and say hi to those that post here)

Hello, I'm adding for the first time to my original 7 year old flock. I just picked up a mix of 13 new chicks.

Hello everyone! It certainly has been a minute! 😆

I've been busy with planting in the garden this week. Several varieties of tomato and pepper plants!

I don't keep chickens myself, but I have a friend who does. When I'm on BYC, I usually hang around the gardening forum. With the warm growing season back, I will probably be more active here on BYC again.

I hope you have all been doing well!

Hey everyone!!! I have still been coming here for things but have not logged in for a long time, have some new babies 🐥 hope everyone is doing well.
Welcome back! I'm glad to hear that you've still been around. Congrats on your new babies! Did you hatch them yourself or buy them?

It's good to see you around again! Tomatoes and peppers are always good. I tried planting some tomatoes earlier this year, but I don't think they are doing so well. Did you start them as seedlings or seeds?
