They are and I did.I hatched out a few this year and have tried to sell them but most folks that have called don't get the idea that breeding siblings is not a good thingThey sound pretty. You could post in the Buy Sell Trade section.

How exciting. Nothing better than chicken math. Congratulations on the new additions.Well, considering I’m just now seeing this, and it’s now December….. yep. We’ve been busy! Just living that crazy chicken lady life, up to 40-50ish birds… chicken math + nature= advanced chicken math. Many new, cute, barnyard cross babies this year. We even had a mama hatch out 6 babes only a month ago!
Welcome back to our community! I'm looking forward to seeing you around! Have you posted a thread on this issue yet? Sometimes (if you have the space to do so), it helps to lock them up for two weeks (and ensure they're sleeping on the perches) to reset where they roost.Good Morning!!! I am trying to be more active on here. Been a hot minute! I currently have 11 hens and 2 8 weeks old chicks inside. My ladies outside are giving me problems with sleeping in coop. I have cleaned it and they still want to sleep on top! Crazy birds! I have 2 pens, one for my more aggressive hens and one for my cuddly ones. The cuddly ones are the ones that wont sleep in coop. They have enough room so not sure what the issue is. I will keep putting them in the coop till they learn again!
mine is very low as well! It holds 6 hens and they just sleep on top! My other pen and flock sleeps just fine in theirs. I can't lock them up for 2 weeks or I would. My coop is not that big.Welcome back to our community! I'm looking forward to seeing you around! Have you posted a thread on this issue yet? On a side note, how high is the coop? I had the same problem when I had a low coop with low perches. They'd get singing about roosting time and go line up on the roof.![]()
The hieght is the problem then. For mine that had the same problem, I couldn't lock them up either, so I just put them in one by one every night, which didn't really make a difference. I had another coop that was much taller and some of them moved in there. For the rest, getting snow on the roof so they didn't want to perch up there stopped them. Perhaps there's something you could put up there to discourage them, even if it's something temporary?mine is very low as well! It holds 6 hens and they just sleep on top! Thank you for the advice! I am planning on getting another coop next year. Hopefully I can get them in this one till I can get another! The hieght is the problem then. Good to hear from you. Wish things were going better for you. Sorry your parents aren't doing well. Wishing you, and them the best.Just got back on to BYC and found a message from back in April asking how things have been.
Well it's been rough mentally, emotionally and physically truthfully. I have had to move back to the USA with my kids due to my parents poor health in January of this year. I am currently in the UK visiting my husband and in a few days we will be flying to the USA to all spend Christmas together (1 of only 2 Christmas's we have spent with them since we got married), after that he is flying back to the UK to keep working an saving money and we will see when and if we apply for a visa for him to come to the USA or if me an the kids will be back here for the next school year.
I will say whatever is going on in the skies above the USA has me up worrying at like 3am UK time.
Hope y'all are doing way better then me missed y'all.
Sorry! Just now seeing this! I read a lot of the posts and look at photos without logging in or commenting. Guess that makes me a stalkerWe have such a vibrant community here at BYC... tons of active friendly members. Of course, life gets busy, so I was thinking it would be fun to start a thread welcoming some of our peeps we haven't heard from in a while.
If that's you, come say hello and let us know what you've been up to.
(if that's not you, feel free to invite peeps you haven't seen in a while and say hi to those that post here)
