First time in and responding.We have such a vibrant community here at BYC... tons of active friendly members. Of course, life gets busy, so I was thinking it would be fun to start a thread welcoming some of our peeps we haven't heard from in a while.

Have to beautiful hens named Rebekah and Babette. A young roister named Cluck Norris. Got hens last April and Cluck 2 weeks ago.
Theyrspoiled. Too the max. Patio for home and a 24 x 40 fy outdoor garden with 50% shade netting at a 8 ft. Love to hear my rooster crow and dance his ālets get it onā jig around the hens every morning! Still new at this.

Sorry to hear of your flock losses. If you have enough hens for the rooster I think they should be fine. Maybe 8 or 10 hens for every rooster in the flock.I hope to get a few new, ready to lay pullets, but my neighbour suspects that the rooster will aggressively over-attend to them. How can one avoid that problem?
