We have such a vibrant community here at BYC... tons of active friendly members. Of course, life gets busy, so I was thinking it would be fun to start a thread welcoming some of our peeps we haven't heard from in a while.

Life keep everyone busy. Happy New Year to all. I have expanded to 8 hens and they are all healthy. Iwill be building a bigger coop for them soon. Once I found the FB page I post more on there than I do here. There are always some great pics and lots of great advice that I have used more than once. Again Happy New Year to all.

Yes its been a very busy year, but I still do check up on here from time to time. The chickens have been good but the group has unfortunately become smaller

Got 2 new breeds, and simply trying to keep them warm, rescued ducks, so have a flock of those as well

Hi there- While it's rare that I log in, I do visit this site and rely on everyone's advice on a fairly regular basis. Since I only logged in just now, I am just seeing this post from April. I've handled a new (for me) problem of bumble foot and built a new coop for my ladies. All is well except I'm having some coop issues to ask about. Thought we had it all worked out but...

hello! my beautiful chicken is a brown shaver who is turning 8 this year! she's had to have some drainage of fluid from her stomach about a month ago now, but is doing great after that! i love her very much and shes recieving daily meal worms, bi daily eggs, spinach and corn! as well has her normal food of course!
