Checking-In On Peeps - Post Here To Say Hello!

Hello :) I've lost a few family members, including my dad. Life has been tough, so I haven't been able to prioritize BYC, unfortunately. Things are finally coming into a state of "normalcy" and equilibrium, so I am able to dedicate more time to my passions and hobbies again; Of course, that includes BYC. I've got some eggs for the incubator on the way...Ameraucanas (TRUE Ameraucanas) and I'll be adding them to my flock of Black Australorps. Hope this little check-in finds everyone doing well. Come on, SPRING!!
So sorry about the loss of your father. I'm glad you are doing well enough to get back to your hobbies, especially chickens. What color Ameraucana? They are a nice breed.

Tending my girls, and now it's mowing season so starting to get busy. Now, if only Nugget and the rest of the ladies will get busy, as well. 😉
Gotta start earning those treats!
We have such a vibrant community here at BYC... tons of active friendly members. Of course, life gets busy, so I was thinking it would be fun to start a thread welcoming some of our peeps we haven't heard from in a while.

If that's you, come say hello and let us know what you've been up to. :)

(if that's not you, feel free to invite peeps you haven't seen in a while and say hi to those that post here)
Hey hey! Miss you guys.

My Guineas all died at the hand of other animals and bad decisions. I threw in the towel for a bit.

I recently got 6 chicks. The runt passed on one of the cold nights. 😪
I think I could have saved him if I knew he was having a tough time which makes me sad.

Anyway...I'm super attentive to their needs now.

I think my 1 silkie is a rooster but I have varying opinions.

Brace yourself because he's totally adorable.

FYI: it's nice to be back. You guys were amazing!

I am sorry that you are going through a time like this!

In the next year or so I will need to add to my flock too. It might be time to get some more Australorps
