They're gorgeous.hello there! a recent pic of my fat bottomed girls!
Hi! Husband and I are still here, keeping our tiny flock. Recently lost our oldest, 7-yo RIR, Blazer, pictured here with her friend. She was a legend and is sorely missed. We have such a vibrant community here at BYC... tons of active friendly members. Of course, life gets busy, so I was thinking it would be fun to start a thread welcoming some of our peeps we haven't heard from in a while.
If that's you, come say hello and let us know what you've been up to.
(if that's not you, feel free to invite peeps you haven't seen in a while and say hi to those that post here)

Hi! It's been quite awhile since I posted on here. Life has been super busy, with all kinds of trials and tribulations. I am gearing up for my 3rd iteration of my chicken flock currently. I have 12 day olds arriving in 2 weeks of differing varieties: 3 Polish, 4 differing Marans, 2 Olive Eggers, 2 Columbian Wyandottes, and 1 buff Brahma. We have such a vibrant community here at BYC... tons of active friendly members. I am in the process of rehabbing my heating pad brooder, and haven't been able to find an exact replacement of my old Sunbeam.....any ideas or suggestions?

I had a happy accident! I recovered my old heating pad (sunbeam) from the barn... The pad lining has been mouse chewed in one spot, but testing out it still works fine! So press and seal here I come and canceled the one I ordered on Amazon. Another box checked on the preparations!
Yes it is! I get some chocalate brown eggs, green eggs to go with my ham......LOL I personally am more of a single breed type, but the wife won this round.Sounds like a nice variety of chicks.![]()
