Checking-In On Peeps - Post Here To Say Hello!

Been busy here on our little hobby farm. Recently got 7 new turkey chicks. One is really wobbly, so the others started pecking him. We have separated him but am afraid the damage to his head may be permanent. One side of his head is down to the scull. Both ears are bloody, one looks like it is gone. What can I put on his head to help it heal? We are looking into the cause of his wobbles but are open to suggestions please.

Just letting you know,, that My bantam chicken had a similar injury. Down to the scalp. I treated it with BluKote, and wound slowly healed. She is still featherless in that area, but alive and well.:thumbsup

WISHING YOU BEST,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, :hugs

It's been a very long time and I've recommended BYC to all of my hen moms. I have helped with so many with chicken issues thanks to all I have learned here. Your site is an invaluable resource, especially for those of us in areas without vets who treat chickens. One of my first hens is still alive and laying at 9yrs old, a Welsummer. I have 2yr old cuckoo maran and a blue laced red wyandotte.
