Cheerio's as treats for chicks/chickens?

I'm curious if anyone has ever given them as treats and if it's safe to do? I give my dog whole-grain cheerio's as treats after my aunt told me their vet actually recommended giving them as treats since their good for dogs. Wonder if the same holds true for chickens?

I've given my chicks/chickens cheerios many a times. But make sure they are broken up before feeding them to your chicks.

I have also given the occasional handful of multigrain Cheerios to my chickens without any problems. They seem to love them as much as I do!

I was sitting out in the yard watching the hens on my chair.
They are not overly friendly hens but I got MAULED !
They jumped on my chair and legs to get them.
LOVED THEM
Now when I have a cup outside they think I have them.
