Chemicals in garden hose water I use for my chickens! Has anyone ever had this issue and did it hurt your chickens

and the radiation from the granite counter top (yes, this is a point of serious concern for a tiny segment of the population).

Just because its there doesn't mean its dangerous over any reasonable time scale.

What I find more alarming than hose water in this post is how casually you mention that your chickens drink from the neighbors' water during the day. That you are okay with your animals wandering onto other people's property. Be a good neighbor and keep your animals on your own property. Your neighbor may be keeping quiet about it just for the sake of peace between you, but I doubt they are thrilled about your chickens wandering into, digging, scratching and pooping on their property. This shouldn't have to even be mentioned.

The only reason I'm on this forum is because i just bought a stainless house from Amazon and all my chickens in my side coop died. The ones that i water with house water are fine however. Only the ones i watered with the new hose died

I recently bought a stainless water hose from Amazon and i have a shed with my baby chickens ducks and geese. Most of them just died today and that's the only chance I'd the new hose. We watered them from our faucet a few days ago and the water source is the same so the only difference is the new hose. There's no symptoms of illness either they just all suddenly died and they're sepetate from each other in different holding areas. I have another shed with my free range and we still use water from the tap and those chickens and ducks are fine

Bag one, stick it in the refrigerator. Call your state lab in the AM, arrange for a necropsy. Report back

My hose water will foam when the plastic of the tube gets very hot in the sun, therefore the high heat will pass plastic/pfas/pfoa from the hose to the water.
If the hose stay fresh and in the shade, it usually does not foam and it does not get contaminants.
If the chickens drink foamy water from the hose, it's not dangerous for them. But if you can avoid, it's better to avoid.
Let the hose run until the water comes out fresh, 100% safe to drink.
