They are so awesome! They make great mothers and friends! I wrote a story on them in my signature if you'd like to see pics.!![]()
I LOVE your story on Lila and Lulu!!!! It made me cry a bit to see how two chickens can be so connected![]()
Aww thank you.

I have a total of 9 chickens. 7 hens, 2 Roos. I just gave away like 3/4 of my flock that were older so I can get some breeds I really want. I have wanted silkies ever since we had chickens and I can finally get them, I'm just so excited!

Our other one's name is Curious. Her real name is Poppy but how it changed to Curious is a sad story. So once upon a time we got some just normal black hens. So of course we had to name them, So one of them became Curious. She was probably my favourite hen. One day she was flapping her wings and I saw a very large ugly bump under her wing. So I went up to tell my mom and she… hmmm I forget what she did
. So one day we got a Ameracauna, A mixed breed and two SSH. So maybe about 8 months later we decided that her name should be named Curious
There's nothing I love more than when those spangles practically take over and the bird is almost completely black. I can't begin to express my sorrow for your sad story about the first Curious. I haven't had to go through loss of a bird yet, but I know it's coming, and the thought is almost too much for me. But, on a brighter note, SSHs are a very interesting breed! Here's Avalon, my own little beauty.
