along those lines...My run has gravel, some of it is rather large...will a chicken try to eat the big stuff and give up? or at least realize it is too big before it swallows? (it's been a loooong time since I had chickens and I can't remember if any chickens were a little too birdbrained to tell what was too big for grit).
