3 degrees here this morning. Girls were romping in the run at first light. I was not. Lol.

DAYUM!! That cold that far south?!?
'Tis a balmy 20F here right now...supposed to get down to 4 tonite tho, high of 10 tomorrow then warm back up.
We have 12-18 inches of snow of the ground tho...and more falling at about an inch an hour right now.

Just a dusting of snow here but definitely a DAYUM on the whole 3 degrees thing. There were wind chills of -10ish last night. That's freaking cold for here. I have seen lower but it's fairly rare.

Hey Aart! Girls are doing great. Getting a couple eggs every day. I think all of them at laying now. All of our wintertime provisions appear to be working out well. We'll be getting chicks as soon as the local farm supply has some. We'll be starting them in the house for the first month like before. I'm going to build a removable brooder in the run for them. I have room for about a 4'x8' area for that. Have plan to make a door within a door so I can change the opening size as they grow. Leaving the breeds up to Cheryl but she'll probably a pick couple different ones. She loves variety.
