Where are you located? I've had frizzles that did OK but I think they need a little protection from extreme cold.

I'm in Southern California so it won't get very cold over winter

I'm in Wisconsin and have had frizzle cochins for more than a decade and they do fine in an insulated coop here without extra heat, so yours should be fine.
