Chew proof options for coop

We are remodeling a shed into a coop. Rats chewed through the wood of our old coop once, so was looking at options to place on the floor and partially up sidewalls to prevent that from happening again. Any ideas? Since rats can chew through so many things I wasn’t sure what would be good. I was thinking of using metal lathe.

Hardware cloth works well, too.

Something metal. They’ll chew through most other materials. Hardware cloth and metal roofing are both good options depending on your setup.

That would work if the birds can't get at it.....it's usually rather sharp.
Anti-dig apron might work for you.
Good examples of anti-dig apron installation.
If rodents are prolific, burying the apron ~12" would be good.
