Chewy.com?

I have used Chewy.com for dog treats for several years. Last two orders shipping on some items took 3 days instead of 1-2. Complained to them about the takeover by PetSmart & they say they are still going be run independently. Some items came from Texas instead of PA as usual. Ordered last treats from Amazon.com, as the prices were less. Always loved Chewy, but do not patronize PetSmart. Several independent dog food varieties have pulled their food from Chewy, as they are not considered to be an independent retailer anymore. I have never ordered chicken stuff. Will try them again, but don't like that PetSmart owns them or that they are now wasting money on TV commercials.

Chewy is now owned by PetSmart and many who have used them in the past now claim prices have gone up. I expect the price to continue to go up as the conversion takes place. I've only ever ordered one thing which took two and a half weeks to get and I wasn't too happy with the turnaround time. But I do live on the west coast in Nevada so maybe that was the reason for the holdup.
That's unfortunate. I bought some parrot food from them while pet sitting because they would let me use a paper coupon and their price was literally half what PetSmart was charging. Amazing customer service, quick shipment, and the food arrived in perfect condition. I would recommend them based on my experience but that was 6+months ago so I'm not sure how they are now.

I've already had my 1st contact with their Customer Service department (had to clarify how they ship which is Fed Ex Home). Got into a conversation with the rep about chickens and gave her the BYC site name. She was super nice, helpful and got all excited about checking out chickens!

I use Chewy.com when I buy my cat trees. I just ordered my third one this past summer (I still have the first two)! I've never had any problems with them, the shipping is fast and so far they've been fairly inexpensive.

I bought some collapsible dog pens from Chewy about a month ago and the shipping was free (>$49) and FAST---IIRC I ordered on a Wednesday and they arrived two days later, on Friday.
The cost of the pens was way less than Amazon or any other of the many places I checked out online and in local stores.
As always, research---they charge more for my dog food (Earthborn Holistics) than I pay at a local store (but about the same as TSC for that food).
They don't seem to have much in the way of chicken-related items. Maybe that will change, eventually, with the increase in backyard chicken raising.
I did notice that the price of their mealworms is quite a bit lower than what I pay in TSC so I might end up putting in an order. Have to look around and see if I can rack up >$49 worth for free shipping.

Glad you've had a good experience with them. In addition to the mealworms, I got some Happy Hen treats for my birds. Next time, I'm going to have to check out cat stuff.

When figuring in the cost of going through Chewy, I kept in mind that our closest town is about a total 40 minute drive away so there's gas & time spent (and the feed stores don't have what I want). Love that Chewy will deliver right to my door!
