Chic Chick 'Bator *UPDATED*

Hey! I resemble that remark! I owe my hatching addiction to MissPrissy and Bammony. They were the two that worked the hardest on me to convince me to start hatching. Little did they know that they were creating a monster....

I actually was speaking of myself. But if the shoe fits.

I got my wigglers on line at a toy company. You can google it.
I had one go bad though. It all of a sudden just turned into water like stuff inside instead of the gel. Messed up my temps until I realized it was ruined.

Same question......in incubators that use lights for the heat source, does the light going on and off bother the chicks when they hatch? I like to leave mine in the bator until the entire hatch is finished.

It did not seem to affect our chicks. Some people wire in a night light that is not controlled by the thermostat and this stays on thecwhole time but does not provide a lot of heat.

Okay I will have my DH try to find out more about it. It's a guy that he works with wife's bator that they want to get rid of. The use to have chickens and don't anymore but he's been trying for MONTHS to get a model number or name or something that way my DH could assure himself it was an okay investment.

Edited to remove post....

OOPS...see what happens when you don't read?

Soccer mom. You may end up spending the same amount on building it. Count carefully.
