Chic Chick 'Bator *UPDATED*

Also, I found it hard to keep my plexiglass from fogging, especially when I raised the humidity the last few days. Walmart or fish stores sell these magnets for cleaning fish tanks, just put one on each side of the plexiglass. They are super strong, don't release easily, and wipe away condensation! I loved being able to see through the entire time!!!
I found mine at wallyworld for $5, but they have them at petco too. http://www.petco.com/product/6379/Aquatic-Gardens-Medium-Magnetic-Cleaner.aspx

Good
luck everyone! And thanks again MissPrissy, my first born frizzle is now named Priss in your image (oh, it fits her, too!) Steph

That has to be one of the cutest chicks I have every seen!! I am thrilled with your success.

Yes, a heat sink is sealed jars of warm water.

One has a 25 watt bulb, one has a 40 watt and one has one of those odd shaped night light bulbs. They all heat different in the different boxes. Just like you discovered with the fan and water - you have to tweak it for your own environment.

My husband does too and I have always hated it. We have a garage full of old computers, and boxes of computer parts, I have been bugging him for the last year to throw them away! Now I see what he mean by we will always frind a use for them!

A 40 watt bulb is just what it needed.....and of course tweaking it all day long....Where are those eggs? I've checked the bator like 100 times today....just think how many times I'll check it once the eggs are in there...LOL
My family thinks I've lost it.

I've discovered that the cure for impatience when it comes to hatching is to hatch as many eggs as you can for 3 months straight!!!

I used to know exactly when my eggs were due - now I have to keep notes, and only if they're due within the next 24 hours to I start to pace! LOL!

*giggle!*

Oh-my-gosh!! My fans came in today......this bator will take flight if I use one of them. Way too much power...and not adjustable. These are 12V fans, like the instructions say.

What size/type/specification should I be asking for?

Not all is lost, however. Hubby said they'd be great to hang above the dog's summertime garage hangout!
