Hoping someone can give them a good home. Please be familiar with this breed and size. Buffy (the vampire slayer) & Warren (Buffet) are beautifully feathered shy birds. I did not know anything about the breed when I bought them 2 weeks after getting 4 average sized hens. I assume a 12 pound rooster breeding with 5 & 6 pound hens could be rough on them. Based on feedback here at BYC, the consensus one is a cockeral. He's not crowing yet. I am about 35-45 minutes south of Chicago.
I tried to figure out how to post in the Illinois thread, so any help posting there would be appreciated.

Good looking birds, I wish I had them. I have a light Brahma Rooster, he is going to be a big boy, he has been crowing for about a week and a half now and started chasing the hens around. I'm really looking foreword to seeing what kind of mixed babies he will throw.

Yes they are absolutely beautiful birds. I want to be sure they go where the person knows the breed...unlike me. :(

Let me know if you are still looking for a home for your girls. I already have a very good Roo protector of my few girls and two ducks, but would see if the two roos would get along. Their house is 8x8 and they free range during the day in the old orchard, whish is fenced in. Always locked up for the night. I am in the Joliet area.
