i have bronchitis and i had my girls do the chicken chores one them accidentally drop the water in the brooder and it landed on a chick i think it is in shock im giving it sugar water and dried it off what else should i do?

it is walking around a little a cheeping constantly and shivering.

If the chick is in shock, it needs to be kept very warm.

As far as the accident is concerned, crap happens. Don't allow the child to feel badly about what happened. I was cleaning my brooder (a very large brooder) that sat on saw horses. When I tipped it to scrape out the last of the bedding, it slid off the saw horse and crashed to the floor. Of course, it crushed my favorite hen. She never suffered though since her head was completely crushed.

Deadly accidents happen a lot, unfortunately.
