chick adoption

I have a hen that hatched her own eggs this week. I also hatched my own at the same time. I was wondering if there was a way get her to add my chicks to her brood?

If you go out really really early in the morning while it is still dark and she is still sleeping and put them in the nest around her/under her there is a good chance she will adopt them. Chickens cant count....some people do it at night before bed but I like to sit and watch and be sure she is actually taking care of them when she wakes up and starts running around.

I agree. I was going to add that it could be done at night also, but you covered that. Im sure she will take them. good luck
