I doubt than anyone will have any idea but will post this anyway. Everyone was fine this morning when I went and checked them and opened the outside door (screen door still shut to paranoid to let them out yet) This is a very old farm coop. Usually change the water in late afternoon, but we had some pretty severe storms rolling thru here and didn't get out till after 8 and there water was empty ( yes no this is bad but I have also been on crutches since they were 1 1/2 weeks tore my acl and my sister had been helping was gone all week so it has been me and my 4 1/2 yr old doing eveything) One was in the corner not looking well and definelty knew not well when my son was able to pick it up. It has labored breathing and felt warm but since I can't pick up anybody else couldn't compare. When I would put it down it would stagger and plop down. I dipped it beak in water and it drank several times I held it a while wondering what to do and it would seem to fall asleep. Thought of taking in house but worried that cats would get to it some how or that would add more stress. so left in coop and placed near light not sure that was right if it has a fever but it is to be cooler tonight and tomorrow. If it is still with us in AM will call the vet.
Not sure what to think and just throwing this out there. Lost another chick a week and 1/2 ago never saw anything wrong with it
thanks

describe the droppings..color and consistency
also of the other chick that died, and the others while checking.

how old are they?
what bedding are using?
could have been dehydrated and overheated..
or chilled?
what were the temps there? was it humid? is the coop vented?
could the storms have stressed it out?

what all do you feed them?
maybe some electrolytes and chick vitamins in the water would help.
commercial packaged electrolytes are available at farm/feed/livestock stores..
in a pinch..you can give diluted Pediolyte..just for the day..
then the chick vitamins all the time.

sorry had copied the format then spaced and did paste it here are the answers

I have used quick chick in their water from the beginning

All chicks did get some shredded pizza cheese on Saturday they didn't get any treats yesterday

Was expecting the worse but he(?) is not staggering like last night is just seeming a bit unbalanced. Was harder for me to get a hold of. I held him for a while and offered food from hand wouldn't take it. Got him to drink a bit and then saw him go to the feeder 4 times. Breathing is still labored but he can get around. Hope this works out

still alive is eating and drinking but still not back to normal but getting around thanks for asking

if I am not mistaken QUIKCHIK is an electrolyte... this is good after stress/dehydration after shipping... I hope you are not meaning to say you have been using it all this time
