Chick alone because the others died

I would call the store. Our store regularly has bantam chicks. Not sure if they are silkies though. As far as different sizes, I have a silver leghorn who is almost bantam sized - she is only 3 1/2 pounds full grown. She has never had any issues with our larger hens :)
I’m gonna ask them about it tomorrow! I turned the light off in there and I’m gonna keep it dark until I find a solution

I have one silkie out of 3 now. The other 2 in the last 48 hours have died (I explained it more in detail in my last thread) my question is what do I do for it?? It’s alone and SCREAMING. I feel like it’ll probably die too from stress. So sad I can’t believe this has been my first experience 😭
Sure hope your little one is okay. I'm expecting three chicks by Friday or Saturday, so that makes me a bit nervous. I didn't loose any with my first 10 chicks, so I'm hoping things will go well again.

I have never done it, but I know others have had success talking to the store manager at TSC and explaining you have a lone chick and then they make an exception on their minimum number.
You probably should get 3 more (and 2 as an absolute minimum). Chickens find all sorts of ways to die and a lone chicken is a very sad thing indeed.

Thank you! I hope you don’t lose any!!! I can’t believe I’ve almost lost all 3 of mine, I must have some real bad luck or something 😳

I am going to wait until my seller replies hopefully tomorrow and if they don’t by the afternoon I’m gonna drive down to TSC and definitely get at least one chick, I’m hoping my seller ships at least 3 more and they get here by Tuesday or Wednesday

If you're going to keep it dark, make sure the little one is still eating and drinking, and not just sleeping.
I don’t have curtains up and the brooder is by a big sliding door so it’s only really “dark” just at night, there’s still natural light! I’m just trying to keep it quiet in there so it doesn’t freak out or get too distressed, I feel like it’s been doing ok today all things considered; When I go in there it wakes up and chirps and I’ve been really checking quite often to make sure it doesn’t flop over and die like the others did- just gave fresh water and food and cleaned the paper towels, it seems ok so…hoping it stays this way! 🤞🏼
