Chick ate a bug does it need grit?

I'm sorry if this is a dumb question but my chick ate a small beetle that got in the brooder in the garage. Other than that she eats chick food. Does she need grit or is she alright for the one incident?

She'll be fine, but best to provide appropriate sized grit for chicks as they will pick up and eat things other than their feed.

They’ll pick up EVERYTHING then decide if it’s food. LOL!!!

They sell chick grit, I kept it on hand through the brooder time!

It’s best to provide chick grit for them
( because for some reason they eat EVERYTHING within a five mile radius), but one small beetle probably won’t kill her.

Chick grit? I thought their starter food was all they needed. I'm sure mine have eaten a bug (or three) - I didn't realise they needed extra grit

My chicks eat bugs I never saw it as a problem.

Chick starter/crumbles/mash food does not require grit. If they are eating anything else, i.e. bugs, grass, table food, they need chick grit to help digest the food. Once they're bigger, they need regular grit. When they start laying, oyster shell grit is good to offer for calcium for the eggs.
