Chick attacked by family dog

Hi I'm Hope
I live in Indiana and recently got some chicks. This is "Penguin" she's a little over a month old I'd say. I rescued her from my dogs mouth and she has some bruising on her legs and wings. She is eating and drinking today and finally walking. Her poop looks great, no blood and I'm keeping her separated from the others while she heals. Anything else I need to know?

Offer her some high-protein feed like boiled eggs or meal worms to help rebuild tissue and feathers.

Keep in mind, depending on the severity of your dog's "playing," that she could have internal injuries. I hope not, but it's possible.

I hope she makes a full recovery!
