Chick attacked by rat

We have neosporin. Will use that
That should help with the wound. The problem for me is that the chick looks fairly stiff which makes me think it could be in shock. My chickens have had times where they don’t move because her chicken friends were killed in front of her eyes

I think the chick is 100 percent in shock.
I’m just worried about it’s neck, it’s very limp.
Will keep feeding sugar water and checking up on him. X
 
Is he a bit more alert? Does it have siblings? They are so sneaky. And they love fresh chicks and eggs.
He does, there were 9 all together. They managed to kill one, one had only a bite “cleared that up, he seems fine”
And now this one I’m just praying can make it. Definitely a bit more alert, opening his eyes and now chirping. X

That’s good. If you have him separated he might get lonely. I notice if I have a chick that’s injured I put it with its siblings and it usually stimulates em a bit. Eyes staying open longer is a good sign of energy and health. Hopefully he will stay the course
