Chick availability this summer?

Hey all I currently have 14 chickens, at least one rooster. It's my first time doing it and it's pretty great. I am about to move my near 6 week olds out into the coop and I'm really considering buying a bunch more and raising a second batch of pure buff orpingtons that I plan on hatching once I buy an incubator. My question is chick availability, I've noticed there's less available(at least in my area) now than a month or two ago. What is the season when breeders are selling chicks? I don't think I'd build a second coop until at least July, will there still be many chicks for sale around that month? Thanks.

The feed stores tend to run their chicks for just the spring enthusiasm. Private breeders, especially if you put in an order, will be able to accommodate you, as will Meyers and other hatcheries that specialize in smaller orders. They generally keep shipping through August and September before shutting down their hatcheries.
