Chick backing up after drinking.

The Sav-a-Chick does list B vitamins, but we also picked up Rooster Boost Poultry Cell and Nutridrench this morning, if one of those is superior for this situation. Is it a problem if the whole brood has some? She's stimulated to eat by the others (chicken FOMO).

It's a really good idea. I have a jug of room temp water for ratio-ing supplements into, and I can use that water to make the mash!
Post pictures of the ingredients of all those.
Generally these things are safe for everyone but I don’t know the ingredients specifically.
I mentioned the Sav-a-Chick because it is formulated to give to all chicks.

You got it.

Rooster Booster Poultry Cell
Poultry Nutri-drench

Once again, she improved as the day went on yesterday. This morning, we're back to square one (even had trouble with the wet mash). Open drinker, same thing.
So strange.
Both would be fine to mix in mash for everyone. I would do it for 3-4 days before giving it a break.
The Rooster Booster is better as it has the B-vitamins which are often the source of vitamin-derived neurological issues.
You can also get human B-complex supplements at the pharmacy and mix them into the mash. Vitamin B is water soluble so any excess is just flushed out of the body. That means you don’t need to be too picky about dose and can give it for a long time.
Vitamins A, D, E, and K are fat soluble vitamins and build up in the liver over time. That is why I would only use those two products for a few days.

Hmm... One of my chicks (Aliss) used to back up like that a lot, though I don't remember if it happened around eating/drinking, or just randomly. She used to (and still does very occasionally) get "zoomies" where she'll quickly back up and then run. Here's a video of it.

If it turns out nothing is wrong... Maybe you just have a silly chick who gets the zoomies a lot 😆

That makes a lot of sense. I was also reading that the selenium in Rooster Booster could be helpful, but I do want to be very mindful of the vitamin levels.

She's eating pretty well right now, so I went ahead and swapped out their regular water for the Rooster Booster dilution for the next few hours.

I'd love to be able to treat her individually, but she's just too freaking small! I'd need tweezers to pry open her beak. I don't know how people deal with bantam chicks. Even cleaning their butts is like performing delicate brain surgery 😖

Thoughts on this food?
Silkie and Ornamental Chick Starter Grower

I actually bought a bag from Tractor Supply, thinking it would be easier for them to eat, then realized the 24% protein seemed insane. BUT, it's marketed as having "Thiamine (Vit B1), Selenium, and Vitamin E". I guess Silkies tend to be vitamin deficient? I also have a runt that could possibly benefit from the protein.

Question are you feeding medicated food? I read over the weekend that if you use medicated food it blocks the absorption of vitamin "B".
I am. Read the same thing you did! She did show up like this, so while the medicated feed didn't cause it, it's possible it's not helping matters. I purchased some of the Silkie food I mentioned above and am thinking of switching. I don't know. We're a bit all over the place.
