Chick bedding

I just got chicks (not my first but haven’t had them since my hens were babies four years ago) I keep my brooder in my laundry room that is connected to my bedroom. I normally use eco flake in my hen house and brooder but the smell drives me crazy when it’s inside my house. Has anyone used paper rodent bedding?

You could use shredded paper. I used hemp when I brooded my chicks indoors, then I switched to paper, but it was a big mess and very stinky, so I switched back to hemp... I also used aspen with good results.

Thank you! The video was actually very helpful. But dang! Hemp is expensive I’ll try the paper and see how the babies like it. Thanks again!

Hemp is expensive! Especially for chick litter, lol.
