1) What type of bird , age and weight (does the chicken seem or feel lighter or thinner than the others.) 4week old lavender orp - she is smaller and lighter than the others after being sick 3 days last week
2) What is the behavior, exactly. Breathing heavy and had an empty crop (it’s 4pm now) got her to eat wet food and some egg white. Not full but no longer empty
3) How long has the bird been exhibiting symptoms? Noticed this morning. Thought she was too hot but she had been sick almost dead a couple days ago (assumd cocci)
4) Are other birds exhibiting the same symptoms?no everyone else breathing normal and acting normal
5) Is there any bleeding, injury, broken bones or other sign of trauma. No
6) What happened, if anything that you know of, that may have caused the situation. Left potting soil in coop (my husband did) last week. We thought this could be an upper respiratory infection. Mixed doxycycline in everyone’s water just in case.. this is first day treating
7) What has the bird been eating and drinking, if at all. Medicated grit - had some peas two days ago but this specific chick did not have any I don’t think Of
8) How does the poop look? Normal? Bloody? Runny? etc.
Normal that I can tell
9) What has been the treatment you have administered so far? Doxycycline
10 ) What is your intent as far as treatment? For example, do you want to treat completely yourself, or do you need help in stabilizing the bird til you can get to a vet? Try to treat ourselves
11) If you have a picture of the wound or condition, please post it. It may help.
12) Describe the housing/bedding in use aspen large flake bedding

I have a video of breathing but don’t know how to upload it

Are your other chicks panting... If they are in the same area? It might just still feel a little sick and it's not it's normal self still, so it's got a funny way of panting, maybe.

If it's looking better than it did a couple of days ago, it should still be getting better, I hope.

Nobody else seems to be panting. Just yesterday she had bubble of snot coming from her nose so I knew I was doing. Well with the doxy but she sounds raspy and is heavy breathing now. I just wanna make sure I’m doing best Currently with isolating with grit and Mashed eggs.. just concerned she’s smaller now and not eating as much
