Chick behavior

I noticed mine was doing that too. Then I noticed the others were doing that while they sat down...I think it's a combination of being hot and tired.
 
I don't have a lamp, but I live in South Texas so it's naturally hot.
 
If you have them in a brooder with a mesh top, you can lay ice packs on the mesh to let cool air fall into part of the brooder. If you don't have a mesh top, you can freeze water bottles and put them in the brooder covered with a towel so they have a cool spot to go to. You could also put ice in their drinking water to keep it cool.
