Chick " belly button " is bleeding!

try the wet cloth for now. It almost seems like she needs stitches

Is it bleeding at all? If so, apply GENTLE pressure with a dry cloth until it stops. You can work from there.

ok, i didn't use the wet cloth, i didn't want to pull it out further. i did put on some triple antibacterial ointment.

i totally hate this sort of thing as well. they are soooo little! i am afraid of picking the little guy up because he is so little and i might hurt him ... Big chicken problems i can handle, but tiny fragile babies hurting, i can't stand...

should i put him back in the incubator with the other chicks, put him under a separate lamp, or keep holding him?
